NCDDA Elects New Board Members

The North Carolina Downtown Development Association membership recently elected 11 new members to the Board of Directors. “We are excited to welcome the new board members that will support our organization’s mission to improve our state’s downtowns,” said Jeff Murison, President of NCDDA.  Murison continued, “We would like to highlight that we’ve added an Urban Districts Director position on our board, reflecting a new membership category aimed to include emerging business districts in a non-traditional downtown setting like University City Partners in Charlotte and the organization I represent in Raleigh that serves as NC State’s business district (Hillsborough Street Community Services Corporation).” The newly elected Board members will serve a two-year term beginning in July 2026.

  • Northeast Director, Ashley Thomas, Main Street Development Director, City of Roanoke Rapids
  • Large Cities Director, Hayden Plemmons, Executive Director, Asheville Downtown Association
  • Urban Districts Director, Keith Stanley, President & CEO, University City Partners (Charlotte)
  • Associate Director – Community Member, Eddie Belk, AIA, Belk Architecture
  • Associate Director – Corporate Member, Sam Hardwick, MOSCA Design
